Hace 20 años.

Hace veinte años, aunque parezca una perogrullada, todos teníamos veinte años menos. Algunos incluso no habían nacido.
Entonces no teníamos la consciencia suficiente para darnos cuenta de lo que supuso la Exposición Universal de Sevilla, no supimos ver el futuro.
La ciudad se transformó, Se ganó la orilla del Guadalquivir para la ciudad, se crearon infraestructuras de carreteras, ferrocarril (¡qué decir del AVE!) y se amplió el Aeropuerto de San Pablo.
Hubo trabajo para todos. Hubo diversión para todos. Hubo un punto en el mapa que fue el centro del universo durante casi siete meses que era Sevilla.
Los sevillanos nos sentíamos orgullosos (mal que les pese a otros) de lo conseguido.
Hoy, 20 de Abril, cuando se cumple el 20º Aniversario de su inauguración, pongo sobre la pantalla de mi blog este pequeño homenaje a tan extraordinario momento que posiblemente no volvamos a ver.

Twenty years ago, though it looks like a platitude, we are twenty years old less. Some of them even weren´t born.
Then we did not have the sufficient conscience to realize of what supposed the Universal Exhibition of Seville, we could not see the future.
The city was transformed, the shore of the Guadalquivir was got for the city, there were created infrastructures of roads, railroad (what to say of the High Velocity Train AVE!) and San Paul's Airport was extended.
There was work for all. There was amusement for all. There was a point in the map that was the center of the universe for almost seven months that it was Seville. The Sevillian people were feeling proud of the things made.
Today, On April 20, when 20º Anniversary of his inauguration are fulfilled , I put on the screen of my blog this small honoring to so extraordinary moment that possibly we do not return to see.
