Este edificio es un ejemplo de las industrias que existían en nuestra ciudad antes de que aparecieran los polígonos industriales.
En la Calle Lumbreras casi esquina con Calle Santa Clara, podemos ver este edificio modernista que fue encargado por la fábrica de máquinas de coser Singer al afamado arquitecto José Espiau y Muñoz y que fue finalizado un año después.
El mayor interés del edificio radica en la fachada, donde afloran detalles de estilo modernista. Destacan los letreros (como los que vemos en las fotos), perdidos en la década de los ochentas del pasado siglo y hoy restaurados, a pesar de que el lema comercial de "Almacenes, Maquinas..." han sido sustituidos por otros que aluden a la nueva función del edificio "Centro de Formación, Promoción y Empleo".
Actualmente el edificio ya no tiene sentido como fábrica por lo que, tras su restauración, fue destinado a Oficina de promoción de la Artesanía y de la Formación Profesional.
En su interior fueron elboradas las piezas que han servido para rehabilitar la plaza de España.

In Lumbreras Street, we can see this modernist building that was entrusted by the factory of sewing machines Singer to the famous architect Jose Espaiau y Muñoz and that was finished one year later.
The great interest of the building takes root in the front wall, where there are details of modernist style. The advertisements stand out (as which we see in the photos), lost in the eighties of last century and today restored, in spite of the fact that the commercial motto of "Stores, Machines ... " they have been replaced with others that allude to the new function of the building "Center of Formation, Promotion and Employment".
Nowadays the building does not already make sense as factory for what, after the restoration, it was destined for Office of promotion of the Crafts and of the Vocational training.
