Esta foto está tomada en la Puerta del perdón de nuestro templo catedralicio. Allí, se reúnen cuatro estatuas, dos pequeñas dedicadas a la Virgen y al Arcángel Gabriel; y dos mayores, dedicadas a San pedro, a la izquierda y a San Pablo, a la derecha.
La figura de San Pablo, blandiendo su espada, tiene una particularidad sobre las otras cuatro. A diferencia de todas las demás estatuas, la peana sobre la que descansa la estatua está soportada por la figura de una mano.
No sabemos a ciencia cierta cuál es el significado de este detalle, por eso es bueno dejar volar la imaginación y pensar en que el artista Miguel Florenti quiso que Dios estuviera detrás de todas las acciones de sus santos y de su pueblo.
This photo is taken in the Door of the pardon of our cathedral temple. There, there are four statues, two small ones dedicated to the Virgin and to the Archangel Gabriel; and two major ones dedicated to Saint Peter, to the left side and to Saint Paul, to the right.
San Paul's figure, brandishing his sword, has a particularity on other four. Unlike all other statues, the pedestal on which the statue rests is supported by the figure of a hand.
We do not know certainly which is the meaning of this detail, because I think that the artist Michael Florenti wanted that God was behind all the actions of his saints and of his people.
