Blas Infante, un andaluz nacido en Casares, fue un político español, considerado oficialmente por el Congreso de los Diputados y el Parlamento de Andalucía como el «Padre de la Patria andaluza» por ser el máximo ideólogo del andalucismo político en todas sus vertientes, regionalista, federalista y nacionalista. Infante alternó las tareas de notario, historiador, antropólogo, musicólogo, escritor y periodista.
En el kilómetro 4 de la Autovía a Madrid hay un monumento a su figura, justo en el lugar donde fue fusilado el 11 de Agosto de 1936.
El monumento consta de una escultura con su imagen y los brazos abiertos. Tras él un mural en bronce con palomas volando y un texto que dice lo siguiente: "Andalucía debe cumplir un ideal como realidad distinta y completa como unidad espiritual viva, consciente y libre (Blas Infante)".

In the kilometre 4 of the Highway to Madrid there is a monument to his figure, just in the place where he was shot on August 11, 1936, at midnight.
The monument consists in a sculpture with his image with the opened arms to the ceiling. After him a mural in bronze with doves flying and a text that says the following thing: "Andalusia must fulfill the ideal like different and complete reality as spiritual alive, conscious and free unit (Blas Infante)".
