A convent of Minimal Nuns of the Order of San Francisco de Paula, under the dedication of "Jesus Maria del Socorro" was founded on Fuentes de León (Badajoz) on the year 1545. But the nuns find many obstacles for the development of their charisma.
The Minimal Parents who had already had foundation in Seville, encourage to the whole feminine community of the convent to request the movement to Triana, compromising themselves to their spiritual attention.
this way is how there is carried out the foundation of the Convent "Our Lady of Consolation" in Pagés del Corro Street.
But Triana, at that time, was remaining very isolated and, in addition, there was many dampness for the nearness of the river Guadalquivir, so in 1595 they overwhelmed the convent. So they decide a new movement to the Sierpes Street, in the center of Seville.
But the Triana´s people had  already become accustomed to their nuns. They were glad with the chime of its  bells.
So the neighbors of Triana go to the Provincial Father of the Minimums requesting the return of the nuns. The community was very numerous and the mother asks voluntary to return to Triana. This way we have in 1602 two convents of Minimal Nuns in Seville that both managed to have up to 60 nuns.
With the past of the time in the history just left one, the convent of Triana "Our Lady of Consolation", in the building that we see in the photo of above.
In the front we can see a ceramic where it is remembered the year of its foundation, 1565, being Felipe II the Spanish King.
