El edificio de la Compañía Telefónica es una de las obras cumbres del regionalismo neobarroco sevillano, y fue encargada por esta Sociedad para establecer la oficina central de Sevilla.
Su profusión ornamental viene dada porque el edificio toma elementos de las mejores obras del barroco sevillano, entre ellas la Iglesia de San Luís, la Iglesia de la Magdalena o el suntuoso Palacio de San Telmo.
El arquitecto utiliza la bicromía en su diseño, por un lado, el paramento de ladrillo color ocre y, por otro, los paramentos, en piedra. Donde más se ve este juego es en los frisos de la segunda y tercera planta y en el ático.
este edificio está situado frente al Ayuntamiento de la ciudad y es uno de los más emblemáticos de toda la Plaza Nueva.
