La fuente del antiguo matadero.

En una de las fachadas del antiguo matadero de nuestra ciudad podemos ver, no en muy buen estado por cierto, una fuente decorada al estilo regionalista andaluz con azulejos de diversos y llamativos colores.
Si nos fijamos bien, en el surtidor de agua que domina el centro de la fuente tiene dibujados el perfil de los distintos animales que entraban al matadero para servir de alimento.
En la parte exterior se distinguen unas caras que bien podían ser de demonios.

In one of the fronts of the former slaughter house of our city we can see, not in very good state certainly, a fountain decorated to the Andalusian regionalist style with blue rollers in diverse and showy colors.
If we notice well, in the water spout that dominates the center of the fountain, it has drawn the profile of the different animals that were entering to the slaughter house to use as food.
In the exterior part there are distinguished a few faces that well could belong to demons.

Un edificio con mucha sangre.

Este bello edificio construido ladrillo a ladrillo y de inspiración morisca, fue el antiguo matadero de la ciudad. Aquí llegaba el ganado para ser sacrificado y servir de alimento a los ciudadanos de Sevilla.

This beautiful constructed building brick to brick and of Moorish inspiration, was the former slaughter house of the city. Here the cattle was coming to be sacrificed and to use as food the citizens of Seville.

El antiguo matadero.

Uno de los edificios más llamativos y característicos de la ciudad es el Antiguo Matadero, creado en 1916.
Aquí, los ganaderos, traían el ganado para su despiece y cada tipo de ganado tenía un edificio propio preparado para dar muerte al animal.

Su estilo neomudéjar y sus ladrillos vistos con azulejos y teja plana, lo convierten en un edificio típico de la arquitectura regionalista sevillana. Un valor artístico indudable que ha sido restaurado y ahora es utilizado como Conservatorio de Música y como Instituto de Bachillerato.

En esta foto está el edificio del ganado vacuno, tal como se puede ver en el azulejo sobre la puerta.

The Former Slaughter house, created in 1916, is one of the most emblematic buildings of Seville. His style neomudéjar and his bricks seen with blue rollers and flat tile turn it into a typical building of the Sevillian architecture regionalist. An undoubted artistic value that has been restored and now it is used as High Music School and as Secondary School for childrenHere they brought the cattle for the break-down and every type of cattle had an own building prepared to give death to the animal. In this photo the building of the cattle is, as you can see in the blue roller on the door.

Las hojas de la tipuana.

Llegado este momento primaveral, las tipuanas florecen y sus hojas amarillas adornan nuestras aceras con un dorado muy llamativo
Esta foto fue tomada en al Antiguo Matadero, donde el amarillo de las hojas embellecía el gastado pavimento de piedra.

Come this spring moment, the tipuana bloom and her yellow sheets adorn our sidewalks of the most showy colors.
This photo was taken in to the Old Former Slaughter house, where the yellow color of the sheets was embellishing the worn-out pavement in stone.
