La Iglesia de San Bartolomé está situada en el barrio del mismo nombre que, junto con el barrio de Santa Cruz, formaban la antigua judería de Sevilla.
De hecho, esta iglesia se edificó en 1896 sobre los restos de una sinagoga judía.
La iglesia estéticamente responde a los cánones neoclasicistas con una entrada (lateral) muy sencilla utilizando, en relieve, pilastras del tipo toscano.
La torre, que está en el mismo muro que la puerta principal, posee un entablamento dórico en su caña. Sobre él, y ante la ausencia de remate definitivo, se sitúa un cuerpo de campanas con alternancia de columnas y pilastras.
El interior es en forma de cruz latina y tiene un órgano maravilloso del que hablaremos otro día.

The Saint Bartholomew´s Church is placed in the neighborhood of the same name that, together with the neighborhood of Santa Cruz (Holy Cross), were forming the former Jewry of Seville.
In fact, this church was built in 1896 on the remains of a Jewish synagogue.
The church aesthetically answers to the newclasic style with a (wing door) very simple entry using, in relief, pilasters of the toscano type .
The tower, which is in the same wall that the principal door, a Doric style possesses in its high form. On it, and before the absence of definitive auction, a body of bells places with alternation of columns and pilasters.
The interior is in the shape of Latin cross and has a wonderful organ about which we will speak another day.
