En la escalinata que le precede, y a las puertas de la Torre del Oro, podemos ver dos deteriorados cañones de bronce que fueron fabricados allá por el siglo XVII.
A pesar de ser los cañones de algún galeón español lo que nos llama la atención, éstos no se encuentran bien conservados. En su interior se alberga el Museo Naval de Sevilla, en el que se pueden contemplar con detenimiento fósiles marinos, mecanismos relacionados con las artes náuticas, brújulas, cuadros y grabados de arte de tema marino, documentos que han hecho Historia.
Se podría destacar un cañón renacentista del siglo XVI, anclas y planos del río Guadalquivir del siglo XIX .
