Una de las calles más conocidas del centro de Sevilla es la Calle de las "Siete Revueltas". Esta calle, verdaderamente, podría pasar desapercibida por no tener nada de paticular que visitar en ella, pero su recorrido la hace una calle muy sui generis.
La palabra "Revuelta" viene a significar algo así como "Doblar la esquina al andar", "girar a izquierda o derecha tras llegar a una esquina".
Pues si atendemos al nombre de la calle, nos podemos encontrar en ella siete giros o cambios de dirección tras llegar a una de las ocho esquinas de la calle.
En un tramo inferior a los doscientos metros, nos encontraremos siete revueltas.
Curioso es el capitel que está fijado en una de las esquinas. Labrado en piedra, están esculpidos cinco animales.
