El Puente del Alamillo.

El Puente del Alamillo fue otra de las grandes obras que se realizaron para la Exposición Universal. Fue terminado en 1992 y su ingeniero diseñador fue Santiago Calatrava.
El nombre le viene dado por estar junto al parque del Alamillo.
El puente consta de un único pilar que actúa de contrapeso para los 200 m del puente gracias a trece largos cables. La idea original era construir dos puentes simétricos en cada lado de la isla, pero este diseño final ha quedado más espectacular.
El alto del puente sirve como mirador de la ciudad y es conocido como "el ojo de la cabeza de caballo".

The Bridge of the Alamillo was another of the big works that were made for the Universal Exhibition. It was finished in 1992 and his engineer designer was Santiago Calatrava. The name comes given for being close to the park of the Alamillo.The bridge is clear of the unique pillar that it acts as a counterweight for 200 m of the bridge thanks to thirteen long cables. The original idea was to construct two symmetrical bridges in every side of the island, but there were no money for both bridges.The high place of the bridge serves as viewing-point of the city and is known as " the eye of the head of horse ".
