La Semana Santa en la calle.

Con la llegada de la Semana Santa, la ciudad sufre una transformación completa.
El centro de Sevilla y muchos de sus barrios se engalanan para poner en la calle todo su fervor religioso.
Las Hermandades, así se le llaman a las distintas congregaciones de fieles en torno a una parroquia o una imagen de Jesús o la Virgen determinada, salen en procesión hacia la Santa Catedral.
Cuando han cumplido con su obligación, el cuerpo de nazarenos y penitentes, acompañan a sus imágenes religiosas hasta el templo propio.
En la imagen que os traigo hoy, podemos observar al "Cristo de la Sangre", de la Hermandad de San Benito. Esta Hermandad fue fundada en el siglo XVI. La imagen del Cristo es de 1966. Ésta va acompañada de 1700 nazarenos vestidos de blanco.

When they have expired with their obligation, the nazarenes and penitents accompany to their religious images up to the own temple.
In the image that I you bring today, we can observe the "Christ de la Sangre", of San Benito's Fraternity. This Fraternity was founded in the 16th century. The image of the Christ is from 1966. This one is accompanied of 1700 Nazarenes dressed in white.
