La mayoría de las personas suelen ver la Semana Santa de Sevilla callejeando por el centro de la ciudad y saliendo al paso de las procesiones. Sin embargo, existe otra forma mucho más tranquila y directa de no perderse detalle de la misma: las sillas y los palcos.
Todas las cofradías de la Semana Santa tienen que hacer un recorrido obligatorio: es la llamada "Carrera Oficial". A ambos lados de esta ruta obligatoria se sitúan sillas para que las alquilen los sevillanos. El derecho de alquiler sobre una silla es duradero en el tiempo. Sólo se pierde este derecho cuando la persona fallece o deja de pagar la cuota anual de alquiler.

Most of the people come to the Holy Week of Seville to see it along the streets of the historical city. Nevertheless, it exists another much calmer and direct form for seeing it: the chairs and the street vip boxes.
All the Fraternities of the Holy Week have to do an obligatory tour: it is the so called " Official Race ". At the both sides of this obligatory route, the City Council puts on chairs in order that the Sevillian ones rent them. The right of rent on a chair for the people ends when the person dies or allows renting it.
