La estatua de San Leandro.

San Leandro es uno de los personajes más famosos y conocidos del santoral sevillano, no ya porque fue hermano de San Isidoro, ni porque convirtitiera al cristianismo a las tribus visigóticas, ni porque fuera uno de los primeros obispos de Sevilla, ni porque convirtiera, entre otros, a San Hermenegildo, sino porque su nombre le fue dado a un convento cuyas monjas tienen unas manos primorosas para la repostería.
En la pequeña fachada de este convento podemos ver una pequeña (otros con menos importancia tienen estatuas mayores y más feas) estatua donde se le representa con el báculo de obispo y a la que le falta una mano, bien por dejadez del que debe mantenerla o bien por gamberrismo popular, que de todo hay en la viña del señor.

San Leandro is one of the most famous and well-known saints of Seville, not because he was the brother of San Isidoro, nor because convirted to Christianity some Visigothic tribes, or because he was one of the first bishops of Seville, nor because converted, between others, to San Hermenegildo, but yes because his name was given to a convent whose nuns have dainty hands for pastry and sweets.
In the small facade of this convent we can see a small statue where he is represented with the bishop's staff and without a hand.
