Centenario del retablo del Gran Poder.

En la tarde de ayer viernes, la Hermandad del Gran Poder celebró una misa en honor del cumplimiento del centenario de este retablo cerámico dedicado al titular de la Hermandad.
Hace cien años que el ceramista Manuel  Rodríguez Pérez de Tudela lo realizara y se colocara en una de las fachadas de la Iglesia de San Lorenzo que, por aquellos entonces y hasta 1965, fue la iglesia que acogió a la venerada imagen de Jesús del Gran poder de Juan de Mesa. 
Manuel Rodríguez Pérez de Tudela, quien recibió el encargo de la junta de gobierno presidida entonces por Antonio Mejías Asencio, realizó el azulejo con unas dimensiones de 1,20 metros de ancho por 1,50 de alto. Se bendijo el 31 de marzo de 1912, Domingo de Ramos para más señas, y en él figura una reproducción del Señor vestido con la llamada túnica de los cardos, obra de las hermanas Antúnez en 1881.

Yesterday Friday evening, the Brotherhood of the Great Power celebrated a mass in honor of the centenary of this ceramic altarpiece dedicated to the religious image of the Brotherhood. 

One hundred years ago, the ceramist Manuel Rodríguez Perez de Tudela made it and was placed in one of the front walls of San Lorenzo Church that,  then until 1965, was the church that received to Jesus' venerated image of the Great power made by Juan de Mesa.
Manuel Rodríguez Perez of Tudela, who got the order of the brotherhood government presided at the time for Antonio Mejías Asencio, made the tile with a dimensions of 1,20 meters width and 1,50 high.
It was blessed on March 31, 1912, Palm Sunday, and in it appears a reproduction of the Lord dressed in the called tunic of the thistles, work of the sisters Antúnez in 1881.
