En una de las fachadas del edificio Cajasol de la Plaza de San Francisco podemos ver este escudo en piedra donde se representa a Hércules con dos leones y la frase "Nominator Hercules Fundator".
Precísamente estos símbolos unido a dos columnas forman el es escudo de Andalucía, la región más al sur de España.
La imagen de Hércules aparece en el escudo de Andalucía porque entre otros orígenes, la leyenda se dice que fue Cádiz, una de las ciudades más antiguas de Europa, sobre la que levantó el héroe griego una de las dos columnas para separar África y Europa y unir Océano Atlántico y Mar Mediterráneo.
