Una de las virtudes de los Jardines de la Buhaira es la combinación de lo bello con lo histórico. Después de su restauración quedó un espacio verde abierto a la ciudad. Pero también palacios, albercas y fuentes que fueron restauradas para la Exposición Universal de 1992.
Esta pequeña fuente inmersa en una pequeña plazoleta es el inicio del camino norte que se dirige hacia el palacio de estilo regionalista andaluz, un palacio que sustituyó a los edificios donde moraban los reyes musulmanes desde el mandato de Abu Yacub Yusuf.
