El camino de Santiago pasa por Sevilla.

Es curioso y, realmente, pocos sevillanos conocen la existencia de un Camino de Santiago que nace en Sevilla. os lo voy a contar, pero, si tenéis curiosidad, este azulejo lo corrobora y está situado en la Calle Reyes Católicos, en la fachada de una oficina del Banco Popular.
El Camino de la Vía de la Plata, también llamado camino mozárabe, aprovecha la traza de varias antiguas calzadas romanas que unían Sevilla con Astorga a través de Extremadura y Castilla-León. Empieza en Sevilla y pasa por Mérida, Cáceres, Salamanca y Zamora. Es la tercera gran ruta tanto por kilómetros como por número de albergues, infraestructura para el caminante y asociaciones de amigos del Camino que la protegen y fomentan. Es bastante duro en verano por la ausencia de sombras en muchas etapas.
