La Glorieta de Dante Alighieri está ubicada en el Parque de María Luisa.
Fue realizada por encargo de la Asociación Cultural Dante Alighieri en el año 1969 como conmemoración del VII centenario del nacimiento del poeta italiano y donada a la ciudad de Sevilla con la intención de que fuera ubicada en la Universidad ciudad frente a la puerta de la Facultad de Filosofía y Letras.
Después de muchos trámites fue colocado delante de uno de los restos de la muralla que rodeaba la ciudad, junto al Alcázar, para que pudiera ser apreciado por todo el público.
El monumento consta del busto del poeta sobre un pedestal de piedra blanca.
En el plazo de un par de años fue retirado de su supuesta ubicación definitiva.
El ayuntamiento accedió a recolocarlo en el Parque de María Luisa, con una pequeña modificación en el pedestal.
Su localización está entre la Glorieta Rafael de León y la Glorieta Hermanos Álvarez Quintero.
The Dante Alighieri's Roundabout is located in Maria Luisa's Park.
It was realized by order of the Dante Alighieri Cultural Association in the year 1969 for the commemoration of the 7th centenary of the birth of the Italian poet and give to the city of Seville with the intention it was located in the University opposite to the door of the Philosophy´s Faculty.
After many steps it was placed in front of one of the remains wall that was surrounding the city, close to the Alcazar, in order that it could be estimated by all the public.
The monument consists of the bust of the poet on a pedestal made in white stone.
In a period of a couple of years it was withdrawn from this supposed definitive location.
The town hall acceded to put it in Maria Luisa's Park.
Its location is between the Rafael de León Roundabout and the Brothers Álvarez Quintero Roundabout.
