Hércules y Julio César.

Ya en otra ocasión os hablé de unas columnas romanas que están en la Calle Mármoles. Éstas pertenecían a un templo romano y fueron levantadas en un número de seis.
Dos de ellas, con el tiempo fueron trasladadas a la actual Alameda de Hércules, donde sirven de soporte a dos estatuas: el mismo Hércules y Julio César el emperador romano.
Las estatuas fueron realizadas por Diego de Pesquera. La primera era una copia del Hércules Farnesio semejante al que había en las Termas de Caracalla.

In another occasion I spoke to you about a few Roman columns that are in the Marmoles Street. These concerned to a Roman temple and they were raised in a number of six.
Two of them, along the time, were moved to Hercules' Avenue, where they were used as support to two statues: the same Hercules and Julio César the Roman emperor.
The statues were realized by Diego de Pesquera. The first one was a copy of the Hercules Farnesio similar to the one that existed in Caracalla's Thermal baths.
