Este es el antiguo Monasterio de Santa María de las Cuevas, hoy Centro Andaluz de Arte Contemporáneo. Su fachada, como todo el recinto, fue restaurada con motivo de la Exposición Universal de 1992.
Este monasterio fue lugar de retiro del Rey Felipe II, el rey que poseía tierras en Europa, Asia, América y África. Se decía que "en su reino, nunca se ponía el sol". También aquí durmió Cristobal Colón antes de partir hacia a América.

This is the former Monastery of Santa Maria de las Cuevas, today Andalusian Center of Contemporary Art. Its front, as the whole enclosure, was restored on the occasion of the Universal Exhibition of 1992.
This monastery was a place of retirement of the King Felipe II, the king who was possessing lands in Europe, Asia, America and Africa. It was said that "in his kingdom, the Sun never sleeps". Also here Christopher Colon slept before departing towards America.
