Alcázar (31): La Puerta de Marchena.




La Puerta de Marchena es una de las puertas que unen los Jardines del Marqués con el edificio del Palacio a través del Patio del Chorrón que va a dar al Patio de la Alcubilla.
Esta puerta no es original del Palacio. Pertenecía al Palacio de Duques de Arcos en la sevillana localidad de Marchena, desde la que se trajo al Alcázar en 1913.
Es una obra gótica de finales del siglo XV que destaca por los motivos heráldicos que coronan su estructura, un águila y un león.


Alcazar (31): The Door of  Marchena.

The Door of Marchena is one of the doors that join the Gardens of the Marquess with the building of the Palace across the Court of the Chorrón that is going to give to the Court of the Alcubilla.
This door is not original from the Palace. It belonged to the palace of the Dukes of Arcos in Marchena, a Sevillian locality, from which it was brought to the Alcazar in 1913.
It is a Gothic work from ends of the 15th century that emphasizes because of the heraldic motives that crown his structure, an eagle and a lion.
