La Torre de Don Fadrique.



Estamos acostumbrados a ver esta torre albarrana del centro de la imagen que lleva el nombre del Infante Don Fadrique desde una perspectiva de calle.
Hoy, gracias al edificio Metropol Parasol, podemos ver el skyline de esta torre del siglo XII confundiéndose con edificios modernos, todos ellos construidos de 1992 en adelante.
Aunque más adelante tendremos tiempo de hablar de su historia, dejamos aquí este texto que está inscrito en una placa en su entrada románica:
Esta torre es fabrica del magnífico Fadrique, podrá llamarse la mayor alabanza del arte y del artífice: a su Beatriz madre le fue grata esta prole del rey Fernando, experimentado y amigo de las leyes. Si deseas saber la era y los años, ahora mil doscientos y noventa y dos (1252) ya existía la torre serena y amena llena de riquezas.

We are accustomed to see this "albarrana" tower of the center of the image that takes the name of the Infante Don Fadrique from a street perspective.
Today, thanks to the building Metropol Parasol, we can see the skyline of this tower of the 12th century getting confused with modern buildings, all of them constructed from 1992 in forward.
Though in the future we will have time to speak about its history, we leave here this text that is inscribed in a plate in the Romanesque entry:
This tower is a work of the magnificent Fadrique, it will be able to be been called the major praise of the art and of the maker: to his mother Beatriz was pleasing this offspring of the king Fernando, experienced and friend of the laws. If you want to know the age and the years, now thousand two hundred and ninety two (1252) already there existed the serene and pleasant tower full of wealths.
