A few days ago, I was walking along the center of Seville, on the Amparo Street when I concentrated on this small blue roller on a front of a reformed house. The blue roller, though a bit complicated to read, says " Arquillo of the Old men ".
The XVI was the century of the big constructions in Seville due to the money that was coming from America and that was disburdening in the port raising the ships for the Guadalquivir from Cadiz coast.
Some of them were the Cathedral, the File of The Indies, the Belfry and Giraldillo, Town hall, Hospital of all Five Sores, The Mint, The Hearing, between great others.
But also it was a century of demolitions. There was knocked down part of the walls and many arquillos and aljimeces they saw for last time the light.
It is because of I bring today this photo since like remember that, in this street, centuries ago, was an arquillo, so called " Arquillo of the Old men ".
