La vida en el corral.



La vida en los corrales de vecinos ha existido en Sevilla hasta el siglo XVIII o XIX tal como nos lo cuentan los libros de literatura e historia. Estos corrales eran el centro social de la gente de los barrios.
Hoy día ya han desaparecido, al menos en la imagen romántica que tenemos de los mismos.
En la foto de hoy podemos ver el antiguo Corral del Coliseo, a medio camino entre la Encarnación y el Convento de Santa Ángela de la Cruz.
Sus pequeñas habitaciones están hoy ocupadas, muchas de ellas, por estudiantes extranjeros que vienen a Sevilla a empaparse de su "forma de vida". Y a estudiar, claro está.

The life in the neighbors' corrals has existed in Seville up to the 18th century or the XIXth as the books of literature and history told us. These corrals were the community center of the people of the neighborhoods.
Today they have disappeared, at least in the romantic image that we have of the same ones.
In the today photo we can see the former Corral of the Coliseum, in the middle of the Encarnacion zone and the Convent of Holy Ángela de la Cruz.
Its small rooms are today busy, many of them, for foreign students who want to know the sevillian way of life. And for studying too, of course. I suppose.
