Monumento a Velázquez.



No podía ser que el pintor español, sevillano por más señas, más importante no tuviera un pedestal sobre el que asomarse todos los días al cielo de Sevilla. En la Plaza del Duque de la Victoria podemos ver la insigne figura de Diego Rodríguez de Silva y Velázquez con su paleta de colores en la mano.
Fue un pintor barroco y es considerado uno de los máximos exponentes de la pintura española y figura indiscutible de la pintura universal.

It could not be that the Spanish artist, Sevillian, more importantly did not have a monument on which to appear every day to the sky of Seville. In the Duke of the Victory Square we can see to Diego Rodríguez de Siva y Velazquez with his palette of colors in the hand.
He was a baroque painter and he is considered one of the maximum exponents of the Spanish painting and indisputable figure of the universal painting.
