Nascendo Moritur.

.
The building of the Seville Town hall is designed in plateresco (spanish barroque) style. It is true that not the whole front of the same one is decorated, but what yes it is, is with an admirable beauty.
In the decoration it can be seen several allegoric and mitologic elements.
We bring today here the frieze of one of the doors of the same one. The above mentioned frieze, beside having the motto of the city (NO&DO) has two children's figures with paths skulls in their hands.
This figure is called "Nascendo Moritur" and he remembers us the life is ephemeral, that in the moment to be born, we start dying.

  1. In the moment we are born, we start dying — I like that.

    Fantastic, ornate details!
