Las obras del Metropol Parasol.




Continúan las obras de este magno edificio llamado Metropol Parasol y que se está construyendo en la Plaza de la Encarnación.
El proyecto consta de cuatro niveles. En el primero hay unos restos arqueológicos, a los que se accede por distintas escaleras que permiten la entrada de la luz diurna al atardecer.
Sobre él estará el mercado de abastos, con unos 4.500 metros cuadrados de superficie con unos 60 o 70 tiendas. El mercado tendrá en el suelo 'ventanas' para asomarse a los restos y su techo también permitirá el paso de la luz en algunos puntos.
El techo del mercado es a su vez el suelo de una gran plaza pública, algo elevada sobre la superficie y de donde emergen los seis grandes pilares.
Un ascensor lleva hasta la cubierta, que se encuentra a unos 30 metros de altura, ligeramente por encima de los edificios que se encuentran en la zona y donde se ubica un mirador en forma de "nube" desde el cual se puede contemplar "toda la ciudad".

  1. What a fantastic structure! It doesn't look like a market at all. The view from up there must be amazing. I hope you'll take photos of the city from the observation deck when it's done :)
